Second Picture: 1 whole is divided into hundredths
Third Picture: 1 whole is divided into thousandths

First we had to play a game. In this game you had to roll two dice. The easy part was when you had to colour it in. So if you got five over hundredths then you colour then you colour in five in the hundredths sheet or mat. In the first picture the purple represents one tenth. In the second photo, the green in the left right corner represents five hundredths. In the last photo the black represents two thousandths. The next thing I'd like to learn is to know how to use the place values to solve problems with decimals.

Kia Ora Ifa,
Using the deci mat was very fun and cool because it was a easy way to learn more about place value and decimals. Playing the game was also very fun because you had to colour in the deci mat. What did you like about the deci mat?
