Thank you very much for your kind donation,

we are so happy like a big exclamation.

We thank thee for the free bread.

If we didn’t get that bread some would be starving to death.

When children come get some lunch we make healthy sandwiches with your bread

In your bread we put everything, I said in your bread we put everything

Butter, always at the bottom,

Ham, next after butter,

tomatoes, don’t forget tomatoes

and lastly it's lettuce............ Tasty lettuce

When my teacher come pay the bread yay yay

Then the people come and say no way

Our school are grateful for your beautiful bread, so yum

When we eat it they’ll be none.

A Trip To Rainbows End

“Slam!” Goes the car door. Eleven o’clock in the morning my whole family jumped into the car with enjoyment. We were going to Rainbows End. This was our 5th time. We went to celebrate my little brothers birthday. He just turned three.

First we entered Rainbows End. We were all happy. We just couldn’t decide which ride we should go on. We looked on the map. There was a lot of rides that we could go on. My little brothers wanted to go to the Arcade so that he could get a teddy bear.

Next we went onto the rides. I almost went on all the rides. I felt very dizzy when I went on the power surge. It was spinning my head round and round. My favourite ride was the Invader. When I went on the invader I could almost see everything.

After that we were eating. We had a bbq at the eating  area. We had sausages and chicken nibbles. It was very delicious. my Mum bought us some chips. We were very full after that. Then my mum got the cake and lit it up. I loved the cake. We got it from the cheesecake shop. Then we sang happy birthday.

Thereafter we were playing on the bumper cars. I was trying bump my dad. Out of nowhere was my mum. “Bam!” She hit me on the back of my car. I was laughing. Everyone started hitting me after I got stuck. The workers helped me get back on the track and the time for us was out.

Finally we went home. Some of us were sleeping while we were driving back. I played on my Mum’s phone. After that I fell to sleep and dropped her phone. It almost left a crack. I was so tense after that.

I was so happy that we celebrated my brother's birthday at Rainbows End. I wish we do it again Next year.

RWC 2015 New Zealand vs Argentina

In the rugby world cup 2015 Aaron smith scored a try. The score was 26 - 16. In the first half New Zealand was winning. Then in the second half Argentina was scoring tries. New Zealand got two yellow cards.

The Three Wishes

While planting oak trees at the park, Wesley, Alyssa and I found a old dirty lamp. I decided to wipe the dirt off the lamp when suddenly a blue genie appeared and said he would grant us three wishes. Each of us was allowed one wish.

Alyssa

For my wish I choose Honesty. I have chosen Honesty because I don’t lie if it is bad. I want to start telling the truth to my family and friends and not to lie at home either. I should also start to compliment people not for the sake of it. Also when I witness something bad I have to discourage it or if it is really bad I get a teacher. I should do this by hanging out with honesty people.

My wish is I want to be diligent . If I’ll be diligent  I will  give 100% in school work,  constantly be busy by doing my work and homework and I will be attentive. I will do my work and not get distracted by the others in class. I have shown diligence in room 9. I am going to work even harder.

Ifa

I said, “Genie my wish is to be Loyal to my friends.” I am loyal to my parents at home. I help them at home with the dishes and cleaning our house. I am also loyal to my Nana because she is old. Everytime she goes to hang out by herself I go with her to check

if she is ok. Lastly I am loyal to my friends at school. I stick up for my friend Dion when ever he gets bullied by the boys in Room nine and ten. Sometimes when I try help Dion they would get their friends from room 12 and then they start wanting to fight. So I just need to not be very aggressive when I stick up for my friends or else it would get overboard. I also need to help my parents everyday instead of three days a week.

After that, the Genie gave us the three wishes. The blue genie disappeared back into the old lamp. We were all happy after that day.

Black Piranha

“Why is our boat rocking?” asked Torrell.

“I don’t know.” Replied Shivneel

Shivneel and Torrell got very scared. They threw some bait into the water. When they pulled it back up they didn’t know what was eating their bait. The bait was eaten in 4 to 5 seconds. Torrell placed a telescope into the water. They looked through it and they saw.................Something astonishing, and very scary.

The Piranha, is a deadly sea creature. The black Piranha has one of the sharpest teeth on earth. It is so fearsome. It also has incredible red burning eyes. It is very quick and looks like a bulldog with its stocky body. They hunt on their own not in packs. It looks like a monster, but with a small body. Black Piranha scales are so dark. They are also fearsome hunter that lives in jungle waters in South America. Since the piranha’s not so long its more maneuverable and distinctive.

Torrell and Shivneel were very hungry. They wanted to eat, but the piranha ate it all they had. They grabbed a paddle and tried to go back to land. The wind was too strong and it pushed them further into the ocean.

“Aaaaaaaah, some one help me.” They both cried.

The battle Of The Beast

Walt: write an impactful introduction to our Maori Myth.

“AAAAAH!” yelled Jack. A Taniwha is coming and it's in his water tank to destroy the Sky Tower. It was as windy as a tornado whistling through the building. Jack said, “The Maori wind God is trying to blow the Taniwha away!” The wind God called and he said, “I AM TAWHIRIMATEA.”

The Taniwha was very strong and stomped his way to the Sky Tower. Tawhirimatea huffed and he puffed and he still couldn’t blow him away. The Taniwha Laughed evilly “MWAHAHAHAHA!” He could only feel the wind blowing into his fiery breath. The Taniwha kicked the Sky Tower with his Horse powered legs and the Sky Tower crumbled.

Tawhirimatea huffed and he puffed......... Boom! The Taniwha flew away and went all the way down to Antarctica. The Taniwha was never seen after that. Tawhirimatea’s battle was over. Then the God Tane Mahuta came with all his birds and fixed the Sky Tower.

Jack couldn’t believe his eyes. Jack ran home to grab his camera. His house was three blocks away. When he got back he tried to take a picture of the God. All he saw was birds. It was like bird paradise.  

Jack still has his picture with him. He hangs it on his fridge. Every time he looks at the picture it reminds him of the battle of Tawhirimatea and the Taniwha.

Procedural Writing - Jam Biscuits

Walt: write a procedure for making Jam Biscuits

Success Criteria: use a verb to begin every  step in the method.

ingredients.

125g Butter

1/2 a cup of sugar

1 egg

2 cups of plain flour

1 tsp of baking powder

1 tsp of milk

Method

1. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees to preheat.
2. Warm up the 125g of butter in the microwave.
3. Put the butter into a bowl.
4. Pour the sugar until half way.
5. Tip the sugar into the bowl with the butter.
6. Cream the butter, sugar and egg.
7. Stop mixing it when it looks full and fluff.
8. Crack the egg into the bowl.
9. Cream the mixture so it can all combine.
10. Pour in two cups of flour.
11. Tip in a teaspoon of the baking powder.
12. Cream the mixture again.
13. Add a teaspoon of the milk so it would be soft.
14. Cream it again so that all the ingredients combine.
15. Place the sily cups into the cooking tin.
16. Take a scoop of the mixture and mould it into balls.
17. Make a hole with your thumb.
18. Put it into the sily cups one by one.
19. Add a little bit of jam into the hole
20. Bake it into the oven for 15 minutes.

Jack's Goal

Walt: Write a descriptive text.

“Zoom!”. a ball just went in the air. Jack’s kick went through the other players. It skimmed one of the players hair and just went right through the goalkeeper's hands. It was as fast as a car speeding on a open road. The opponents were so scared, they couldn't even touch it.

Jack was celebrating his goal. Jack was hopping on one foot in a circle. He was fist pumping his hands in the air one by one. His team was rushing to him and jumping on his back. He did a backflip and ran up and down the field. He was walking like there was something in his left pocket. He screamed as loud as a lion’s roar.

The game was tied, Jack and the opposing team was  tired too. They couldn’t breathe. Jack felt like he had asthma from running and chasing the ball. Both teams felt like they were unfit. Some of the players waited for a little bit then started playing.

After three minutes Jack’s teammate stole the ball. He ran and passed it to Jack. Jack kicked it and it hit the goalkeeper’s head. The goalkeeper laughed and then suddenly he saw the ball rolling into the goal area. Jack couldn't believe it.

Another goal, another win. That was the last game of the season.

Leaving My Mark

Walt: Write A Paragraph

I plan to do the most dangerous stunts with a bike. Like doing wall jumps and doing the longest wheelie and jumping over a car. To do this I must practise with my bike. The only thing I know what to do is a wheelie. I also jumped over two big tree stumps it was very scary, but I made it. I got some cuts and bruises when I landed.  I would also like my family to remember me. So that they will remember me as a bike boy. I started riding bikes when I was four. When I was five I knew how to ride a bike without training wheels. When I completed all of this I will try jump of a high cliff with a snowboard and a parachute. So that is how I want to leave my mark by doing dangerous stunts with bikes and jumping off a cliff made out of snow with a snowboard and parachute. The bike that I have is a green Mountain bike.

The Best Holiday

Bump! A ball just smashed my brothers head. It was very funny. My family and cousin were there. We were at a hall. The game we were playing was dodge ball.

On a tuesday we celebrated my cousin’s birthday. We were playing at a hall. Outside was a bouncy castle and we were playing touch, rugby and ripper rugby. It was fun but first we were eating. My mum and I made Otai, brownies, sushi, chicken and spaghetti bolognese. It was delicious. My cousins, uncles and aunties made salads.

After eating that delicious meal we got into a water fight. I forgot to bring some spare clothes so I dodge all the water balloons. I only hit by one balloon but it didn’t pop on me. So I had two more balloons left. I threw one on my mum and one on my cousin. They got so angus they tipped a bucket filled with ice on me. It was cold.

The next game was ripper rugby. I only got five tries. I got to intercepts and three runaways. I older cousin tried to get a try so I dived and ripped off his tag. My cousin was very fast when he scored the next try. The score was 25 and 15. My team won.

Finally it was time to light the cake. The cake looked very awesome It had a batman cape on one side of the cake and a superman cape of the other side. When we ate the cake it made me full. My favourite thing to eat was the otai. It was tasty.  

After the birthday we went home. Keaneau, Watson and I went to sleep. From the birthday to my house was very long. So we stopped at the Burger King and bought a drink. It was the best day ever.

Skinnies Vs Fatties

“Look,” At me shouted the little boy I’m fool I’m fool. The little boy just finish eating six boxes of KFG. It was the most famous place to eat at. He would always have a Gas Tank meal on a very cold day in the afternoon.

The problem was that the fatties would always show off with their money and food at school. They would always boss the skinnies around. The skinnies said,

“Cherr butter buy us a KFG bro.”

The fatties would always say,

“No.”

Then there came a time when the skinnies mocked the fatties. All the skinnies would mock him and call them,

“Pork chop tena koko buy us some KFG.”

The fatties go so angry so they had a war.

When they had a war there was a challenge who ever would eat the most food will win. This was a easy win for the skinnies because the skinnies had never eaten in days. the challenge was on. The skinnies won.

“Haha we beat you, shame.”

The next game was tiger war. It was very funny because who ever lost they will have to step in the horse poop. On this challenge the fatties won. So the skinnies had to step in the poop.

“Yes we won just need one more.”

The final battle was at the cafeteria it was a food fight if the skinnies won then the fatties will not boss the skinnies and if the fatties won then the fatties will have control of the skinnies again. So they had the food fight. Ten minutes later it was one on one. One more hit than one team will win. The skinny grabbed a hotdog and threw it on Lutley. The skinnies won.

“That is why you do not boss us around.”

The next day the skinnies were happy. When they went back to school it was normal. One thing was that the fatties had to clean the cafeteria.

One skinny came and said,

“Haha.”

Soccer 2

Quan was teaching us how to stop the ball with many parts of our body. He showed us how to stop the ball with our head. It was very funny. It was also crazy. When I tried it with tane I felly face planted on the ground. I hope we will learn more crazy skills.

Quan was kicking the ball. He is from Spain. He was teaching us cool skills like dribbling the ball and controlling the ball. It was very fun. We had to get a partner and do the skills with him. My partner was Tane.

I want to be a millionaire

Walt: Write in paragraphs.

If I win the lotto I might get one million dollars. I would do a lot of things with a million dollars. First I will pay for all the bills and then I would want to buy two big cars for my family too. I would also like to buy food for my family so that they won’t be hungry. I would like to take them to a restaurant in the weekends and to take them somewhere special when its their birthday.

I wanted to be a millionaire because I can travel around the world with my family and to buy a big house for my family to live in. The kind of house I would want will be made out of wood and will be as big as a mansion. I want to live in a America and to be neighbours with my uncle, Auntie and cousins. The state I would like to live in would be Anaheim, California.

I would also want to be a millionaire because I want to go to Disney land and to go to a good school and get good education. When I get older I will want to go to college and then when I finish from college I will go to university. When I finish from university I will look for a good work to work for.

I want to be a millionaire because I would like to be is to be a house painter like my dad. I would want to be a painter because every time my dad comes home he gets two thousand dollars. MY dad get two thousand dollars because he paints and builds.     

Dental Presentations

The new thing I learned when Mrs Walbridge came was when you smoke our teeth turns blackish brown and it also causes cancer. I also didn't know that when you still have baby teeth and the permanent teeth grows it becomes crooked. It was amazing when Mrs Walbridge said when your tooth comes out you can put it back in, but before you put it in you run it under water. I also didn't know that if you run out of floss you can use a nylon bag that holds the oranges.

All the questions that our class and room 12 came up were interesting.

I am going to tell my parents to buy healthy food and to also tell my parents to use the bag that holds the orange as a floss instead of buying it.

Tooth Traditions From Around The World

Many people around the world do different stuff with their teeth. Like Japanese throw it on the roof and Argentina’s put it into a glass so a rat can come and get it. I am going to tell what these countries do with their teeth.

Afghanistan:

In Afghanistan when a child’s tooth comes out they throw it into a mouse hole or rat hole. The Afghanistan's throw their teeth  into the hole because they want their other tooth to grow strong and healthy and white so when they eat stuff it won’t hurt.

Argentina:

In Argentina they put their teeth into a glass of water at night time while they are sleeping. Then a little mouse will go and drink the water and take the tooth. After that the mouse will leave candy or coins inside the cup.

Brazil:

Sometimes children in Brazil throw their teeth out onto the streets. Then they ask the birds to come take it and when they take the tooth they will bring a new one. The birds will only take the tooth if it has no cavities.

Egypt:

Egyptian children wrap their teeth in a tissue and take it outside. Then they throw it at the sun and asking them to take their buffalo tooth and bring them back a nice tooth. So when they smile it will look white and will be strong .

Home:

At my house we put it under our pillow when we go to sleep. When we wake up in the morning we find a bucket of lollies or $20. Sometimes my brothers think it was the tooth fairy. When I tell them it wasn’t the tooth fairy then they say it was our mum.

I think people should still do what they do with their teeth in their country because it is amazing. I didn’t know that when Indonesia's throw their teeth straight on their roof it will be straight and if they throw it crooked the their teeth will be crooked.
